Steve is an HVACR and energy consultant, who conceived World Refrigeration Day in 2018, as a way to public attention to the impact of the cooling industry in its broadest sense. Last year, it saw physical events held in 162 countries around the world. A past-President of the Institute of Refrigeration, he has enjoyed a long career in the HVACR and energy sectors. After working for a number of major contractors, Steve formed the specialist consultancy Stephen Gill Associates in 2004, to help end-users of industrial systems make informed decisions regarding energy efficiency and sustainability.
