Head of Water Asset Strategy and Planning , Southern Water
Simon Moore is Head of Water Asset Strategy and Planning at Southern Water, with over 20 years’ experience across the UK water sector. He began his career following graduation from the University of Birmingham having studied Environmental Science, and has since held a wide range of operational, planning and delivery roles spanning water resources, water quality, network optimisation and leakage management across Severn Trent and Thames Water. At Thames Water, Simon spent three years as Head of Planning for London, leading strategic system planning for one of the UK’s largest and most complex water supply regions. He joined Southern Water in 2024, where he now leads water asset strategy, long term planning and investment prioritisation, supporting delivery of regulatory commitments and resilience outcomes across AMP8 and beyond.
