Sam Donaghy
NICEIC
Sam has more than 40 years' experience in the electrical industry, working initially in the process control sector and also spending time in further education. Starting in 1978 with an apprenticeship for an ABB company which provided automation and control systems, Sam has worked for companies including Siemens and Rockwell Automation, both in this country and abroad. He also spent 12 years working in Further Education developing and delivering Electrical Engineering courses at Level 3, HNC and HND to apprentices in the electrical industry.
Sam joined NICEIC in 2016 on the Technical Helpline providing telephone and e-mail support and
uidance on BS 7671, related British Standards and other Industry Codes of Practice to electrical contractors and others. Sam is now the NICEIC Head of Technical Advice and Practice responsible for a team of technical engineers who provide technical support to the company's clients and to members of the public.
