Rob Shepherd began his career in regional press in Cambridge before becoming a staff writer for The Mix magazine. In 1998 he joined Electrical Contracting News (ECN) and played a pivotal role in launching Network Cabling News (NCN), editing both titles for the next 11 years. In 2009, Rob embarked on a freelance career as an editor, journalist and copywriter, working across a diverse range of media and market sectors. He maintains a close involvement and interest in the electrical contracting sector by contributing articles to the industry's leading publications and websites, hosting webinars and roundtables, presenting at events and working on projects for trade bodies including the ECA, NICEIC, NAPIT and CIBSE.
