Mat is the founder and CEO of Greenworkx, the climate edtech startup building the workforce solution for a net zero world. Greenworkx enables employers to hire, train and enhance the talent needed to power the net zero transition. Before founding Greenworkx in summer 2022, Mat was Chief Development Officer (CDO) at Catch22, a national charity and social business designing and delivering public services, where he had responsibility for business strategy and was instrumental in securing revenues in excess of '100m. Mat has had a diverse career across private, public and not for profit sectors, including a two-year spell at No10 Downing Street as a Special Adviser to the Prime Minister, covering Home Affairs and Justice Policy, as well as three years at London's City Hall working on youth programmes, crime prevention and the 2012 Olympics operation. He is a Churchill Fellow, a Fellow of the RSA, and holds a degree in Modern History from the University of Oxford and a Master's in International Relations from the London School of Economics. He sits on a number of advisory boards and is a serial charity trustee.
