Dr Maggie Montgomery is an environmental engineer with over twenty years of experience in the public and private sector, including four in East Africa where she worked on water, sanitation and infectious disease prevention efforts. She has worked at WHO since 2010, most recently leading efforts on safe and sustainable water, sanitation, hygiene and health care waste services in health care facilities. She also works on various health related WASH efforts including point of use water treatment performance, waterborne outbreak prevention and WASH in emergencies.
She is licensed civil engineer in the State of California, with PhD in environmental engineering. In her spare time she loves to climb mountains and go off trail with her two boys.
