University Academy Holbeach
I am a Master Plumber, educator, and industry leader with over 25 years of experience in plumbing. For the past 14 years, I have proudly led the Plumbing Department at University Academy Holbeach 6th Form, where I combine my technical expertise with a passion for teaching. Dedicated to passing on my skills and knowledge, I strive to prepare my students for a fulfilling and successful career in the plumbing industry, ensuring the trade continues to evolve with highly skilled professionals.
My journey began as a plumbing and heating engineer, before I founded my own business, specialising in bathrooms and heating systems. My passion for sharing knowledge drew me into education in 2007, where I went on to gain advanced teaching qualifications, including a Level 6 Diploma from Anglia Ruskin University.
Today, alongside my leadership role, I also work with City & Guilds development and assessment teams on plumbing, gas, and environmental technologies qualifications, helping shape the future of industry standards. I also write for publications such as HIP Magazine and Heating and Ventilation News.
Driven by a belief in excellence and opportunity, I continue to inspire the next generation of plumbers, while keeping my own skills sharp through ongoing professional development.
Recently I was honoured to have been selected as a recipient of the World Plumbing Council (WPC) 2024 United Association Instructor Training Program Scholarship that took place in Detroit, USA. This invaluable experience has provided me with knowledge, insights, and professional networks that will directly enhance the plumbing industry and training standards in my home country.
