Heat Geek
Lewis began his career as an apprentice gas engineer with British Gas when he was 16 and spent a further 10 years 'on the tools'. A move to Australia in 2018 introduced him to the world of air conditioning and heat pump installations and really ignited a new desire to not only begin learning again but to become interested in my career. Returning home with a new mindset Lewis applied for a role as a plumbing and gas lecturer at St Helens College. Inspired by the outdated curriculum and courses, it inspire him to me to write his first book 'An Introduction to Low Temperature Heating Design'. Roles as a heat pump Training Manager at Ideal Heating and as a system design engineer at Aira followed. Lewis then decided to write a second book, Heat Pumps Unlocked, with James Law as they both saw a problem in the industry in that many engineers were struggling with how to integrate the concepts that they had learnt on the industry leading Heat Geek courses into their everyday jobs. This idea lead to Heat Geek becoming a partner on the book and through that was offered an opportunity to join the team as Heat Geek's Training Manager. His role at present is to help to grow, educate and support the installer network.
