Julie Spinks is the Managing Director of the Water Regulations Approval Scheme (WRAS). With more than 30 years of experience in the water industry, she has led Water Regs UK, co-founded WaterSafe, and held a variety of senior roles at United Utilities. Julie holds a degree in Biological Science, an MBA, and is a Chartered Director. She also chairs the Education & Technical Committee of the Worshipful Company of Plumbers.. The Water Regulations Approval Scheme is an independent UK certification body for plumbing products and materials. It helps business and consumers choose compliant products that keep water safe. WRAS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Water Regs UK. The Worshipful Company of Plumbers is one of London’s historic Livery Companies — ancient trade guilds established to protect and regulate the interests of specific crafts and professions. Today, the organisation supports education and training initiatives, provides bursaries and awards, and encourages excellence in plumbing craftsmanship.
