Jerry Whiteley
Technical Manager
,
Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering
Starting as an apprentice in plumbing and heating, I've enjoyed a lifelong journey of learning and growth in the industry. After gaining invaluable experience, I pursued my ambition to become self-employed, mentoring my own apprentices and employees along the way.
Transitioning into Further Education, I held roles from lecturer to middle manager, sharing my skills and knowledge while finding immense fulfillment in seeing former students succeed.
Now, as Technical Manager at the CIPHE, I apply my passion for quality and integrity to impactful projects that support and advance the plumbing and heating profession. I also judge national competitions such as WorldSkills UK, the HIP Learner of the Year & Female Skills, and the Heating Installer Awards, celebrating the extraordinary talent in our field.
Through my work, I aim to champion the skilled professionals who make a difference every day in plumbing and heating.
