After serving thirty years with the Metropolitan Police within the Specialist Crime Directorate at Scotland Yard, Ian has extensive experience with fraud and major crime investigations. He was instrumental in the creation of the Police Plant and Agricultural National Intelligence Unit (PANIU) and was fundamental in engaging the construction and farming industries to design and formulate the CESAR identification scheme.
Ian is also currently the Chairman of the Combined Industries Theft Solutions forum, a not for profit think tank supported by the Home Office and Law Enforcement and dedicated to reducing crime from the construction and agricultural sectors through partnerships with police throughout the UK.
