Hugo Aguilar is the senior vice president of Codes and Standards for the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO). His responsibilities with IAPMO include overseeing the development process for codes and standards development process for the U.S and Canada and oversees the day-to-day operation of the Radiant Professionals Alliance (RPA). He is currently a voting member for NFPA 54, NFPA 915, ASHRAE 15, ASHRAE 15.2, ASHRAE 62.1, ASHRAE 62.2, and is contributing expert to ASHRAE 400 and the Canada Plumbing Code. He also serves on the ANSI Board of Standards Review, the Standards Council of Canada Standards Development Organization Advisory Committee, and previously served on the Board for the Society for Standards Professionals (SES). He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from California Polytechnic University, Pomona and is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of California with an emphasis on thermodynamics.
