Fiona Hodgson is Chief Executive of the Scottish and Northern Ireland Plumbing Employers’ Federation (SNIPEF), where she has played a leading role in shaping the plumbing and heating profession for nearly three decades. A Chartered Accountant and graduate of the University of Dundee, Fiona began her career with Deloitte in Edinburgh before joining SNIPEF in 1995. She was appointed Chief Executive in 2016. In her leadership role, Fiona has driven SNIPEF’s strategic direction, championing high standards across the profession while strengthening the Federation’s voice with governments and regulators in Scotland, Northern Ireland, and at Westminster. She oversees public affairs, governance, and advocacy, with a strong focus on developing a highly skilled workforce through quality apprenticeships and training. Under her stewardship, SNIPEF has enhanced the visibility and reputation of plumbing professionals with policymakers, the media, and the public. Fiona is also a prominent voice in the wider construction sector. She is a Director of WaterSafe, promoting safe plumbing standards for consumers, and BSE Skills, which develops qualifications and apprenticeships for the built environment. As Deputy Chair of the Construction Industry Collective Voice (CICV), she has been instrumental in collaborative industry initiatives, particularly in supporting the sector’s transition to Net Zero.
