Ir Daniel CHOW holds multiple academic qualifications from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Hong Kong. He is also professionally accredited in cross-disciplines by the Royal Town Planning Institute, the Institution of Civil Engineers (United Kingdom), the Greater Bay Area Engineering Professionals Scheme and the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.
Daniel has been dedicating to advancing digitalisation in water services, transport management and urban planning, with extensive experience in digital transformation of infrastructure for smart city development through serving extensively in various works departments of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Since his participation in the Digital Water Office of the Water Supplies Department in 2022, he is a mainstay of the implementation of intelligent waterworks in Hong Kong and excels in the deep integration of next-generation information technologies with engineering operations. He fully leverages technological innovation and unlocks the value of data resources to support the WSD in safeguarding water safety, providing quality services and assuring a reliable and sustainable water supply by data-driven analysis and AI-driven decision-making across all levels and in all areas.
