Chris Chan is an environmental consultant at TÜV SÜD, specializing in water, wastewater, and sanitation. He has led international standardization efforts as Project Lead for ISO 30500 and ISO 31800, advancing non-sewered and community-scale sanitation systems. He is also currently the Convenor and Chair for the revision of ISO 46001 on water efficiency management systems, supporting global adoption of frameworks that drive sustainable water use. At TÜV SÜD, Chris works with foundations, governments, and industry partners to provide testing, certification, and regulatory expertise that helps innovative sanitation technologies reach markets worldwide. With over a decade of project experience, he also supports manufacturers in navigating certification and contributes actively to Singapore’s Water Technical Committee.
