Chintan underwent formal education in Plumbing from Penn Foster (formerly Thomson University), USA, is the partner of D’Plumbing Consultants, a consultancy firm offering services in Plumbing, Sanitation, Fire Suppression and RWH.

His past involvement with the Indian Plumbing Association made him a part of the Technical Committees for "Uniform Plumbing Code - India" and "WEP-I".

The fourth generation from a family dedicated to Plumbing, was a Member of CED 46: P17 of Bureau of Indian Standards.

Has trained students from Temasek Polytechnik, Singapore, C.V. Raman Institute, Bhubaneshwar, Voltas India and conducted several trainings for PEEP and GPI. He is a visiting faculty of Chitkara University, where he has designed India’s first Program in Civil Engineering with specialization in PHE. His international workshops include “Sustainability in Plumbing” for Singapore Plumbing Society and a talk on "Plumbing Education in India" at WorldSkills Abu Dhabi.

Has offered tech support to international firms like Clancy Global Consultants, Foster & Partners, PHA Consult, Braille America and Giaccomini.

Developed software for hydraulic calculations known as “EZ Plumbing Calculations” now in its ver.3 and very recently authored India’s fast-selling book on Plumbing known as “Plumb 4 Gen”.

He was selected for the World Plumbing Council’s “Education and Training Scholarship” for the year 2011. Has been awarded the "Best Article Award" by Indian Plumbing Today. Conferred the B.C.Gandhi Award by Brihan Mumbai Licensed Plumbers’ Association.

He was a Chief Expert for Plumbing and Heating at WorldSkills Lyon and WorldSkills Africa and has represented India in WorldSkills competitions at UAE, Hungary, Finland, Australia, Russia, Germany and France.
