Cara is an experienced policy researcher with a strong background in advocating for better consumer outcomes in regulated markets. As Senior Policy Researcher at Citizens Advice, Cara has led projects into consumer demand for retrofit measures as well as the need for better energy efficiency standards in the private rented sector. Before joining Citizens Advice in 2017 Cara held various positions in strategy and community engagement at Southwark Council as well as teaching research methods for Cardiff University. Outside of work Cara is an aspiring farmer, having recently bought a small herd of beef cattle using regenerative grazing techniques to build soil and capture carbon.
