Alex Hughes is Head of Scheme at MCS, the UK's quality mark for small-scale renewable technologies, such as solar panels and heat pumps. Alex oversees MCS operations, manages relationships with UKAS, manufacturers, and installers, and works closely with government to share valuable insights into MCS data trends driving forward UK's uptake of small-scale renewables. Alex is also responsible for the MCS Data Dashboard, which allows MCS to share near-real-time updates on the adoption of small-scale renewable installations across the UK freely with the public. Alex continues to play an integral role in building the new assessment regime for the redevelopment of the MCS scheme, ensuring thorough and high-quality assessment of MCS installers across the UK.
