Emma has over 12 years’ experience supporting cities to develop long-term, evidence-based and cross-sectoral plans for achieving net zero. She oversees the Carbon Trust’s sub-national climate action planning and Local Area Energy Planning activities, delivering carbon footprinting, science-based target setting, whole energy system pathway analysis, cost benefit assessment, socio-economic assessment, and action plan development. Emma is the Carbon Trust’s topic lead on decarbonising heat, with experience across heat networks, heat pumps and hydrogen. She has supported local authorities to develop and implement a £250m+ portfolio of low carbon heat network schemes in the last four years.
