David Farmer is a Research Fellow at the University of Salford where he manages the Salford Energy House. He is an expert in the measurement of building fabric and heating system thermal performance. He has assessed the performance of a wide range of fabric and heating systems in the new-build (Innovate UK BPE Programme) and retrofit (Innovate UK S-IMPLER, BEIS TIWI, BEIS SMETER, BEIS DEEP) sectors. He is a co-author of the Leeds Beckett University Coheating Test Method (the most widely used coheating test protocol in the UK) and his work detailing building performance evaluation can be found in leading academic journals.
