Managing Director of CB Heating ltd and Founder of CBH in 2002 and a heating engineer with 24 years of experience in the industry. After completing his apprenticeship, Clayton secured a position as a solar thermal engineer with the largest solar company in the UK at the time. He learnt an awful lot there. This is where Clayton met Dan Andrews (now fellow director) and where they both were starting their careers. He progressed there to have won installer of the year three times and was promoted to trainer.

Then it was time for him to go off to start CBH. From being one man to employing over 80 staff and building CBH to where it is today has been his greatest achievement. There has been an exciting range of projects completed over the years with fitting air to air heat pumps and hot water systems at HPC to bathroom fit-outs in the Gherkin, hundreds of heat pumps for Thames Tideway and he also assisted at the Nightingale hospital at London’s ExCel.

The business is now in a new and exciting place just ready for an exponential growth that has been worked on for 20 years with the creation of the Heat Pump Installer Network (HPIN) and investment from EDF. The strategic investment means EDF will partner with CB Heating for its customers’ heat pump installations, offering EDF’s 3 million customers an end-to-end installation journey through CB Heating’s HPIN. Clayton’s dream is to make a large dent in the 600,000 a year heat pump installations goal, by providing a path for any installer to learn and install heat pumps and for all customers to be able to buy with confidence.

Clayton is family man who wants the best for his wife (and fellow director) Clare Browne and three children – everything he does is for them.
