Eoin McManus, CEO of Lyrical Communications, looks at the upcoming InstallerSHOW and considers the scale of the event and its importance to the industry.
InstallerSHOW opens its doors at the NEC Birmingham is just under a week’s time, and it will be the biggest and most interactive event we’ve ever hosted.
Installers and decision-makers have the opportunity to engage with 450+ exhibitors, get hands-on with the latest products, have their technical questions answered, and take them away at special show-only prices.
As someone who’s been involved with InstallerSHOW since its launch in 2015, it’s amazing to see how rapidly this event has grown over the past few years, and how important it has become to the industry.
InstallerSHOW has always concentrated on the live content that matters to heating, plumbing and electrical engineers, but in 2023, we’re taking it up a notch. Our 2023 show will include a comprehensive schedule of live debates and seminars in the elemental content theatres, industry standards and expertise in the InstallerTRAINING Theatre and our interactive demo area Installing the Future. NOW! – where visitors get the chance to see and try the new products being used to help meet tomorrow’s net zero challenges.
InstallerPLAZA has traditionally been at the heart of InstallerSHOW, and this year this meeting place will welcome installers from across the UK with a dedicated programme of presentations and debates on hot topics like heat pumps, the electrification of heat, hydrogen and more. There’s also the announcement of the winners of the Heating Installer Awards, celebrity appearances, and a look at the latest products to hit the market.
Installing the Future. Now! in partnership with Wolseley will give installers and specifiers a practical understanding of heat pumps, underfloor heating, hydrogen boilers, solar, electric vehicle charging and energy storage.
And at the InstallerTRAINING Theatre, industry experts will be sharing their technical know-how on heat loss calculations, off-grid heating, the latest gas regulations and more.
For professionals working in commercial buildings, our elemental Housing Hub and elemental Decarbonising Buildings theatres are the place to be to discuss the latest trends, products and projects, to decarbonise our buildings.
And that’s not all. In 2023, we’ve partnered with leading associations to provide bespoke sessions for all professionals working in heat, energy, air and water.
Net Zero by Design and The Future is Electric, both sponsored by BEAMA, will focus on all things electric. Visitors will be able to find out about the products and technologies that will lead the journey to electrification, include electric vehicles, electric heating, connected products and more.
Solar Innovations, in partnership with City Plumbing and supported by Solar UK and MCS, will unwrap the potential of solar energy, and how engineers can make the most of the opportunities presented from this hugely growing market.
Plus, we have partnered with the Bathroom Manufacturer’s Association (the BMA) for the Bathroom Zone. This area will showcase the latest products and solutions and host discussions, as the association shares its vision for a sustainable future and includes speakers such as George Clarke, Plumberparts, Mark Miller and more.
