As the UK prepares for a net-zero future, demand for greener modes of transport and charging infrastructure increases. EV remains one of the largest green tech industries, and with charging solutions for the home, workplaces and commercial locations Rolec are providing scalable solutions to suit all budgets and requirements.
Rolec’s newest domestic unit, the QUBEV Smart, was released in March 2023 as a cost-effective solution for home-charging. Developed on the pre-existing QUBEV unit, now with even more power, better functionality, and solar compatibility (app dependent), with the same focus on affordability and compact design.
The UK Government’s introduction of Part S regulations for EV charging infrastructure means a sleek, modern, and fully compliant charging solution was sorely needed within the industry. The QUBEV Smart includes all the features customers loved from the QUBEV, including a universal charging socket, built-in LED charging indicator and adjustable charging rating. As well as a host of new additions. Need charge in a pinch? The QUBEV Smart’s power output has now been expanded to include both a 7.4kW and a huge 22kW offering, available as both tethered and untethered models. Giving you access to even more power at your fingertips.
At the other end of the spectrum, in January Rolec introduced their newest ultra-rapid chargepoint, the UltraCharge. The ULTRACHARGE 160 is Rolec’s most economical unit to date, with a unique scalable, modular design custom-built to grow with your needs. Offering DC charging capabilities of up to 160kW and a continuous power output segment of 300-1000v – providing a charge of up to 80% in around 20 minutes. Optimising speed to provide you with a significant increase in revenue potential. Making the ULTRACHARGE 160 the optimal choice for public, fleet and highway infrastructure developments.
Rolec Services has been operating in the outdoor electrical industry for over 30 years, and they expanded into the world of EV 15 years ago. For as long as Rolec has existed, installers have been an integral part of their business. Since the company has expanded, they have always been sure to keep installers in mind. From design and a custom-built academy to hold training sessions on-site in Boston Lincolnshire, to streamlining the installation and commissioning process through upgrades to hardware – for example, introducing True PEN.
And also, their software. The Rolec EV Connect app, for example, was designed to reduce time spent commissioning new units. In just six easy to follow steps, all units can be made ready for use by the customer.
