QETTLE’s viral beer tap is coming to InstallerSHOW!

British boiling water tap brand QETTLE caused a TikTok sensation when an ingenious installer decided to connect his Qettle tap at home to a beer keg. The video, which went viral with over 1m  views, was a particular hit with installers, and with InstallerSHOW in their sights, QETTLE invited Zac Squires of Squires Plumbing Services in Norwich to recreate the beer tap on its stand.

QETTLE Beer Hour

QETTLE Director Alexandra Rowe says: “We loved Zac’s reworking of his QETTLE, and thought a QETTLE Beer Hour twice a day on our stand at InstallerSHOW would go down a treat with visitors in need of refreshment. And aside from the pull of a free half-pint, it’s also a brilliant way for visitors to understand how unique and innovative QETTLE’s patented design is.”

QETTLE taps use a fully patented design that features four, separate waterways inside the body of the tap. Ordinarily – and when Zac’s not at large – these deliver true, 100°C boiling water, filtered drinking water, normal hot water and normal cold water. And, unlike other instant hot water or boiling water taps, a QETTLE tap is purely mechanical – that is, there is no dependency upon electronic components such as solenoids to activate the switching of different flows.

It is this simple yet ingenious design that makes QETTLE such an installer-friendly product – both from the get-go, and for servicing and maintenance throughout its lifetime. It also makes for significant cost-savings, which the family-owned and run manufacturer says it passes onto its customers.

Installer-friendly

Alexandra Rowe comments: “We have been designing and manufacturing multi-functional kitchen taps for two generations, and firmly believe that a tap such as QETTLE should be as much a positive experience for the installer as for the end-user. Its unique design ensures it’s very much a plug and play installation – there’s lots of clever, time-saving fitting features – and installers who’ve not always had the best of experiences with boiling water taps are usually pleasantly surprised by the tap and its system’s simplicity.”

You can watch Zac’s viral video here, and don’t forget to head to stand 4B21 at InstallerSHOW for QETTLE Beer Hour every day at 11.30am and 3.30pm (with a much larger keg).
