InstallerSHOW, the UK’s leading event for heating, plumbing and electrical professionals, welcomed thousands of visitors, hundreds of exhibitors and a host of new features, resulting in its largest edition to date.
Organised by Lyrical Communications, the show – which took place from 28th to 30th September at the Coventry Building Society Arena – featured 152 leading exhibitors, 50 expert speakers and hosted 5,975 attendees across the three days.
The show, attended by professionals in heating, plumbing, commercial engineering, renewable energy and electrical, provides face-to-face access to an array of industry leading brands, showcasing innovative products and services, ideas and initiatives.
Michael Costain, Lyrical Communications Managing Director said “Two years in the making, but what an astonishing three days. From the moment the show opened right through to the last minute, the buzz throughout the hall was palpable.
“Exhibitors who’d put so much effort into their presence were greeted with installers eager to learn the latest innovations and upskill. We have big plans for developing the show into a truly world-class showcase of everything this industry has to offer in our new home at the NEC in 2022”.
Exhibitors and visitors alike reflected on why the show was so important to them:
“The Great Installer Give-away was a runaway success – giving installers access to dozens of clearance items at fantastic prices. InstallerSHOW proves that installers want to walk away with great deals.”- Richard Harvey, Commercial Director Plumbing & Heating, Wolseley UK
“InstallerSHOW really was a great industry get-together. Our Gas-tonbury feature was a huge hit. We saw hundreds of installers on our stand – enjoying giveaways and talking to our manufacturing partners.” – Luke Bowman, Marketing Lead, Gas Centre, Plumbase and Willbond
“I’ve been here for the last three years and to be honest it has grown and grown and grown and what I’ve found is new technology I didn’t know about by talking to different exhibitors, it’s really opened my eyes” – Kyle Turner, Gas Engineer, Elite Gas
A host of new features
This year’s show featured the most varied fringe programme ever including;
- Future Leaders – an industry wide initiative to promote the next generation of leaders and influencers who will ultimately be responsible for ensuring the ongoing success of low carbon targets and overall sustainability in the years to come
- Women Installers Together Conference – a dedicated event for tradeswomen within construction and maintenance industries
- The BMA (British Bathroom Manufacturers Association) Sustainability Forum – hosted discussions around reducing water demand, labelling, building regulations and retrofit
Expansion plans for 2022
InstallerSHOW comes to the NEC for the first time next year, from June 21st to 23rd, giving the organisers scope to develop InstallerSHOW into a world-class event – a 10,000sqm exhibition attracting stakeholders from across the industry – both commercial and domestic. It will also co-locate with elemental expo, also run by Lyrical Communications, for the first time. A dynamic solutions-driven experience, elemental expo will combine product-based exhibits with an extensive seminar and CPD programme looking at how we effectively manage heat, water, air and energy within the built environment, now and in the future.
