Kelly Cartwright is joining the InstallerTRADES line-up

Kelly Cartwright is joining the InstallerTRADES line-up at InstallerSHOW, to highlight the importance of workwear and PPE that fits properly, for both tradesmen and tradeswomen.

Kelly, owner of Core Recruiter – a construction recruitment specialist based in East Anglia – made the headlines last year when she attended an industry awards event wearing an evening dress fashioned from high vis material. The gown will be making an appearance on the InstallerTRADES catwalk, and Kelly will be talking to our audience about the importance issue of having suitable workwear designed for women.

Kelly said: “Ill-fitting PPE poses serious health & safety risks and sends a message of neglect to female workers, while providing inclusive gear fosters safety, confidence, and a sense of value in the workplace. Embracing properly fitting PPE not only enhances physical safety but also boosts morale and empowers workers to excel in their roles.”

InstallerSHOW’s Lucy Dixon said: “Everyone should have access to PPE and workwear that fits properly, so we are delighted that Kelly is joining us in Birmingham this year to shine a light on this topic – she’s a fantastic advocate for women in construction and a brilliant addition to the line-up.”

InstallerTRADES is a dedicated tools and workwear zone, with a packed programme of live tool demos and catwalk shows.
