InstallerSHOW – the great industry get-together – will return to the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, from 28-30 of September 2021.
Following recent government announcements regarding the easing of restrictions, and specifically the intention to lift restrictions on large events on June 21, Installer feels confident that an event in the last few days of September is now possible.
“It’s been a bit of a wait,” said Installer Events Director Mike Costain. “But given that UK heating and plumbing professionals have been working continuously over the past year, in some very challenging conditions, we’re confident that they will welcome the opportunity to come together with their colleagues in September in a safe and welcoming environment.”
Over the past five years, InstallerSHOW has become a key date in the calendar for thousands of installers, and this year’s event, coming out of a very tough year for everyone, is expected to attract significant visitor numbers and manufacturers who are eager to engage face-to-face once again.
“Any event will have to comply with any Government regulations in place at the time, but the events industry has been extremely pro-active over the past year to ensure venues can re-open safely,” said Mike Costain.
The Ricoh Arena in Coventry, where InstallerSHOW will return in September, has been working over the past year with other leading exhibition venues across the UK to ensure visitor safety and confidence.
“We are delighted to welcome InstallerSHOW back to the Ricoh Arena in September,” said Paul Michael, Ricoh Venue Commercial Director.”
“As a multi-functional venue, we have benefited from being on a number of leading industry groups which has help us develop our ‘Return to Ricoh’ safety plan. This plan covers all the latest industry and government guidance from DSCM and the Association of Event Venue’s ‘All Secure Programme’ to ensure we are ready and prepared to welcome visitors back to the venue.”
The great industry get-together
InstallerSHOW is being billed as ‘the great industry get-together’ – partly to celebrate the industry being able to finally come together after the pandemic, but more importantly to emphasis the important role this major event has come to play within the heating and plumbing sector.
“This year’s event promises to be our biggest yet – a great day out with even more opportunities to get hands-on with all the core heating products installers use every day, including boilers, showers, taps, pumps, pipes, valves, fittings, water treatment, controls, tools, consumables and more,” said Mike Costain.
“InstallerSHOW in September will be bigger than before, filling the entire main exhibition hall at the Ricoh – adding an additional 25% floorspace. This will give the event room to spread out but – most excitingly – it will provide a home for InstallerELECTRIC – our new face-to-face experience for electricians.”
New this year
InstallerELECTRIC – a new member of the Installer family with clear synergies to heating and plumbing – will feature a varied programme of seminars and hands-on demonstrations. This part of the exhibition will welcome manufacturers from across the electrical industry and promote the very latest in technological developments.
Also new this year to InstallerSHOW is the Plumbase Bathroom showroom, concentrating on the key bathroom trends and products that could help installers boost their business, and with the race to Net Zero carbon emissions now in full swing, InstallerSHOW is shining the spotlight on renewables and the business-boosting opportunities they present for installers.
For example, visitors can get to grips with the latest in heat pump technology from manufacturers Grant, Viessmann, NIBE, Vaillant and Worcester Bosch, plus find out about magnetic filters, underfloor heating, and hot water storage products that are commonly used on heat pump projects.
A large percentage of our installer visitors work on commercial projects, so InstallerSHOW will offer installers working in this sector some valuable interaction with exhibitors demonstrating the latest innovations in the industrial/commercial sector of the industry. Leading brands like IMI Hydronic, Spirotech, Stuart Turner and Wilo make InstallerSHOW the go-to event for those working on larger scale projects.
Fringe programme focuses on the future
Away from the exhibition floor, InstallerSHOW will be hosting a programme of fringe events featuring some of the industry’s leading trade bodies and interest groups. The programme will look at the developing issues and challenges facing the industry – everything from net-zero to future leadership and diversity.
These will include Future Leaders – a joint initiative supported by key industry stakeholders designed to promote the next generation of leaders and influencers who will ultimately be responsible for ensuring the ongoing success of low carbon targets and overall sustainability in the years to come.
And still on the sustainability theme, plans are underway to include a forum on bathroom sustainability – looking at what this part of the industry can do to be part of a ‘green recovery’, including the efficient management of water.
An unforgettable evening
InstallerMERIT is unlike any event in our industry. Launched during Installer2019, this very special event is not about products, services or installations – it’s about recognising outstanding people in our industry doing great things in their communities. InstallerMERIT returns on Tuesday, September 28, during the InstallerSHOW exhibition.
“InstallerSHOW – the great industry get-together – is shaping up to be an amazing event and, as always, a great day out,” said Mike Costain.
See you there
We’ve got some big plans, and we look forward to safely welcoming heating installers, plumbers, electricians and manufacturers from across our industry to the Ricoh Arena, Coventry from Sept 28-30.”
