InstallerFUTURES – the student and apprentice day at InstallerSHOW – aims to provide a structured and meaningful visit for the next generation.
Enhanced for 2024, InstallerFUTURES will expand beyond our traditional offering for heating, plumbing, electrical and renewable students and apprentices, to include specialisms such as retrofit, bricklaying, carpentry and more.
As part of our ongoing commitment to inspiring the next generation of installers to improve their skills and find valuable employment opportunities within the sector, we have introduced an Advisory Board, comprised of key industry associates, who are also passionate about this initiative.
The role of the Advisory Board is twofold:
- The board will help to shape the agenda for InstallerFUTURES which will take place at InstallerSHOW on the 27th June
- The board will support in creating awareness of InstallerFUTURES and make recommendations for colleges, training institutions and apprentices to invite
In addition to the content that is normally offered to our FUTURES guests, 2024 will see the inclusion of some more practical skills competitions, 1-1 meet-and-greets, recruitment experiences and interactive discussions with relevant exhibitors.
Managing Director, Mike Costain said “At a time when the challenges of decarbonisation and net zero demand a dedicated and informed workforce, it’s crucial to invest time and effort into the next generation of installers, who will play a pivotal role in reaching net-zero targets.”
Already confirmed to join the InstallerFUTURES Advisory Board are; The Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE), BiKBBI, The Bathroom Manufacturers Association (BMA), Simon Acres Group, The Builders Merchants Federation (BMF), with more to be announced in coming weeks.
