Stuart Pearce MBE, one of England’s most revered footballers, will be at InstallerSHOW on June 27th.
A former electrician, Stuart began his professional football career when he signed for Coventry at the age of 21 and quickly established himself as a tough left back with a lethal left foot. Pearce spent 12 years playing for Nottingham Forest – 11 of them as club captain – and reached two FA Cup finals and the Champions League with Newcastle before joining West Ham and finishing his playing career at the age of 40 with Manchester City.
Stuart represented England 78 times, captaining his country on nine occasions and playing in both the World Cup and European Championship. His emotional penalty shootout celebration after scoring against Spain at Euro 96 has become one of English football’s most iconic moments. In 1999 he was awarded an MBE for his services to football.
Pearce was made manager at Manchester City in 2005 and was subsequently appointed head coach of England U21s, reaching four successive European Championships – including the final in 2009. He was also given the honour of managing the Great Britain squad at the 2012 Olympic Games.
He appears regularly across major broadcasters as a pundit, studio guest and co- commentator, and his renowned leadership and motivational skills make him an enduringly popular speaker. Stuart will be visiting on the first day of InstallerSHOW 2023. Register here for your free visitor pass.
