Building Safety Forum line-up revealed
The Building Safety Forum returns to InstallerSHOW for the third year, running on 23rd June, with a programme of must-see sessions outlining the latest safety updates affecting the construction industry.
The Building Safety Forum has evolved into a significant feature of InstallerSHOW, with conference content dedicated to helping the industry navigate the rapidly changing regulatory landscape in the wake of the Building Safety Act. With expectations around competence, transparency, and accountability continuing to rise, the forum provides clarity and practical guidance.
The 2026 programme focuses on several critical themes. These include the latest legislative and regulatory developments, new industry guidance expected during the year, and the growing importance of competence frameworks and dutyholder responsibilities. Another major topic is the “golden thread” of information – ensuring accurate, accessible data is maintained throughout a building’s lifecycle. Sessions also address product transparency, compliance, and practical strategies for safer design, specification, installation, and remediation.
The 2026 line-up can be seen in full here.
Highlights of the Building Safety Forum 2026 include:
- Three keynote talks from influential industry experts – Suzannah Nichol from Build UK, Amanda Long from CCPI and Desiree Blamey from Building a Safer Future – followed by a Q&A with the three speakers.
- A session on construction product reform, with attendees able to hear the perspective from the MHCLG (the government department responsible for publishing the White Paper on Construction Product Reforms) and the expectations of the National Construction Product Regulator, as well as understanding more about product responsibilities.
- A discussion on understanding fire test reports, including a manufacturer’s technical expertise and the lived experience of a principal designer navigating these responsibilities on real projects, plus the advisory perspective of those supporting design and client teams.
- A look at what the Building Safety Act really means on the ground, including the latest changes and what’s coming next.
- A Q&A with the Peter Rankin, Deputy Director at the Building Safety Regulator, to include an update on building safety regulation and delivery, including progress on high‑rise remediation, Gateway 2 performance, and how the system is evolving to improve pace, clarity, and confidence.
Ultimately, the Building Safety Forum at InstallerSHOW 2026 is a focal point for driving cultural change within the construction sector. By encouraging open dialogue, promoting competence, and providing practical solutions, it contributes to the overarching goal of delivering safer, more resilient buildings across the UK.
