Bathroom innovations from Roman

Shower designer and manufacturer, Roman, continues to innovate and bring enhanced bathroom solutions to market. Among the latest offerings are a major tray launch, expansion of its Fast Fix assembly, and new colours for its fully framed Wetroom Panel.

Upgraded shower trays
Roman’s upgraded and relaunched range includes Anti-Slip Shower Trays and Infinity Slate Trays, both manufactured from Solid Surface with a Gel Coat finish. The Anti-Slip Shower Trays are 40mm high and are available in 35 size options encompassing every size, shape and configuration in square, rectangular and quadrant shapes in the UK market. They are manufactured with a gel coat finish for cleanability and durability, and are inherently Anti-Slip to the highest standard available – DIN Class C. The trays come with a 90mm chrome Fast Flow waste and there are three additional colour options available – Brushed Brass, Matt Black and White. A self-levelling kit is also included and there are tray and feet options, and a riser kit can be bought separately.

In addition, there are three Neo Angle options and the ever-popular Curved Walk-In Enclosure 1700 x 700mm tray.

The Infinity Slate Shower Trays have an authentic slate effect finish with a textured surface and a stylish concealed waste. They are 35mm high with three matt colour options; White, Grey and Black. There are 11 square and rectangular size options across all three colours. The Infinity Slate Trays are also inherently Anti-Slip.

Roman is immersed in all aspects of the Circular Economy and is committed to using recycled materials in the production process – and to ensure that all parts of all products can be recycled and reused back at their original value at their end of life. Roman’s Shower Trays are made from Roman Stone which is manufactured using natural materials – mostly recycled stone and resin. Roman Stone is easily recycled at its end of life and can be reground back at its original value and purpose.

Fast Fix assembly
Roman’s Fast Fix assembly has been extended across all its volume ranges of Sliding Door Shower Enclosures, now covering the Innov8, Embrace, Haven8 and Haven6 ranges.

Fast Fix assembly is designed so that the final Shower Enclosure mainframe installation is a ‘slot and tighten’ exercise, which can be done in seconds. Consequently, the main profiles link together as the structure is assembled on site. As much of the process as possible is now pre-assembled in the Roman factory to ensure that the final installation in the bathroom is simple, quick and easy.

What the Roman’s designers have done is essentially to turn the fully framed units into modular sections. A Sliding Door is now in two sections with an assembled door and an assembled panel packed separately – with the top and bottom rails unattached. This makes handling and manoeuvring much easier and safer. Once the unit is in position for installation, the process is extremely simple. The wall profiles would be secured to the wall in the standard manner, the side panel is easily attached to the top and bottom rails which now have slotted sections. The screws are already in place in the top and bottom rails and these would be then dropped into the slots and quickly secured with the turn of a screwdriver. Likewise, the door would be attached to the other end of the top and bottom rails, and the unit can then be secured into the wall profiles.

Fully framed wetroom panels
Roman has revealed two new colours for the fully framed Wetroom Panel – Brushed Brass and Polished Chrome.

The Innov8 Framed Wetroom Panel has 8mm thick glass with the option of clear or fluted glass, which is fully framed now with three colour options: Matt Black, Brushed Brass and Polished Chrome. The Wetroom Panel stands at 2032mm high with an adjustment of 785-800mm and is available in widths of 800, 900, 1000 and 1200mm.

There is the option of back to wall or straight to wall ceiling bracing and bracing is recommended for use with all wetroom panel sizes for a secure installation, whilst also adding to the angular industrial style look.

The Fluted Glass option adds to the elegance of the framed wetroom panel, with the glass texture distorting the light, offering a degree of obscurity for privacy but without reducing the light in the showering area.

The Innov8 Framed Wetroom Panel is part of the Roman’s Wetroom Collection, offering a variety of heights, sizes, shapes, glass thicknesses and price points – with a multitude of design options to choose from.

Roman’s Innov8 Collection encompasses both minimalist frameless and industrial style framed Shower Enclosures, Wetroom Panels and Bath Screens.
