Illegal radiators - What Installers Need to Know

Installers and homeowners are being warned being warned that some radiators on the UK market are being advertised with exaggerated heating claims, leading to overstated heat outputs that could leave households cold, out of pocket and wasting energy.

The Manufacturers' Association of Radiators and Convectors (MARC) and the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) have been working to raise awareness as as some retailers are using non-standard figures so their radiators appear to provide more heat output than they really do.

This panel looks at the scope of the issue, the work that's being done to resolve it, and how installers can make sure that the product they're buying, are up to the job.
