InstallerSHOW brings the industry together

Joe Sharpe
Head of Content - Installer

In the last six months at www.installeronline.co.uk we’ve hosted some fantastic webinars with top engineers. What really stood out from these conversations with the people on the front line, is that the trades are coming closer together, facing the same opportunities, and experiencing similar hurdles.

Heating Engineer Damon Blakemore, for example, is transitioning his business from boilers to renewables and heat pumps. That brings a lot of change, new certificates he has to acquire, new business practices to get government grants, bigger and more expensive jobs, and a different client base.

Electrical Engineer Mark Allison, for example, is transitioning his business from traditional electrical installs to renewables, solar PV and battery storage. That brings a lot of change, new certificates he has to acquire, new business practices to get government grants, bigger and more expensive jobs, and a different client base.

Sound familiar?

Technology is evolving quickly, new products are hitting the market, being invented, and being introduced to the UK. The government has net zero targets, and in the here and now, the cost of energy and water is making consumers think more-and-more about what they use, and how to keep those bills down.

And who are the most important people in this universe? The tradespeople. Whether it’s boilers, heat pumps, kitchens, bathrooms, ventilation, battery storage, solar, EV chargers, lighting, smart controls, appliances, the list goes on and on but it’s the engineers, the people who go into homes and buildings, and install, maintain and repair that kit, that are key.

This is exciting and it’s creating lots of opportunities for tradespeople to work in new areas, to add skills to their arsenal, and to learn new ways of working.

But it’s not just installers who are part of these projects. Manufacturers have to make great products, training providers have to ensure competency, designers and specifiers will deliver these at scale, merchants will stock and supply, and there are many more touch points on the way.

At InstallerSHOW we’re bringing this diverse group together, under one roof at the NEC Birmingham from 25-27 June.

Over 600 exhibitors will be joined by over 20,000 installers, specifiers and decision-makers. It’s the perfect opportunity to get hands-on with the latest products, interact with your industry colleagues and learn new things.

Whether it’s your first visit or you’re an InstallerSHOW veteran, you will be surprised by the amount of exciting things going on.

Working collaboratively and honestly will give engineers the tools and knowledge to improve people’s homes, buildings and lives. Let’s start those conversations at InstallerSHOW.
