Air-Powered showers use high velocity air to atomise water into droplets that are 2.5x larger than a standard shower providing 15x momentum. This results in a softer sensation with greater impact allowing significantly less water to be used. Flow rates are reduced as low as 5 litres per minute (50%) compared to 10 for a conventional shower. Due to less water being consumed, energy required to heat hot water is also saved.
Air-Powered technology has been verified by Energy Saving Trust and claims that a family of four could save around £430 a year in household bills.
Kelda’s Air-Powered showers have been tested in real-life environments delivering powerful results. In the leisure sector payback is less than a year, in hospitality water consumption has been reduced by 70%, and in the housebuilding sector specifying a Kelda shower can help lower total household carbon emissions by up to 10%.
