Support Growing for National Heat Pump Week
Taking place 12-16 October 2026, NHPW is a UK-wide campaign aimed at accelerating the transition to heat pumps. The week, organised by the Heat Pump Association UK and Nineteen Group, will be supported with an engaging content programme, including webinars, articles, interviews, competitions, and market insights from key industry figures.
The nascent campaign has already confirmed its initial sponsors; City Plumbing Supplies, Daikin UK, Panasonic Heating & Cooling, and Resideo. Covering heat pump technology, heating controls and product distribution, all four organisations are set to play a major role in the UK’s heat pump transition.
Commenting on why the business has backed National Heat Pump Week, Roz Kane, Managing Director – Renewables, Electrical & Spares at City Plumbing, said:
“As a leading renewables merchant, City Plumbing is incredibly proud to sponsor National Heat Pump Week. Dedicated awareness weeks like this are vital as they spark the national conversation, bust common myths, and unite the industry. By shining a spotlight on low-carbon heating technology, we can collectively accelerate the UK’s electrification of heat, ensuring installers have all the knowledge and confidence they need to successfully make the transition.”
Tomoji Miki, Managing Director, Daikin UK, said:
“Heat pumps are no longer a future technology; they’re already delivering reliable, efficient heating for homes across the UK today. Heat pumps provide a reliable solution for all housing: from modern newbuild homes to older housing stock. The priority now is building confidence, skills and long-term support across the industry so more homeowners can make the transition successfully.
“At Daikin, we see that responsibility as extending far beyond manufacturing equipment. We’ve invested in the UK heat pump market for many years, through product innovation, installer training, technical support and close partnerships across the industry. The transition to low-carbon heating only succeeds when manufacturers, installers and policymakers move together with a shared commitment to quality and customer confidence.
“National Heat Pump Week matters because no single company can transform the market alone. By helping the industry speak with one voice, it builds the awareness and trust that more households need to recognise heat pumps as a practical, reliable choice for everyday homes across the UK.”
Joao Marques, Marketing Manager at Panasonic Heating & Cooling, said:
“At Panasonic, we see heat pump technology as a cornerstone of the transition to low-carbon heating. Alongside advancing technology, we place a strong emphasis on supporting customers and partners in designing effective, efficient systems that deliver in real-world applications. NHPW provides an important platform to explore both the opportunities and challenges in the sector, and to share the knowledge needed to accelerate adoption.”
“Equally important is supporting the installer community that brings these solutions to life. Through our extensive training centres, free A2W training programmes, and a growing portfolio of real-world case studies, we’re committed to giving installers the tools and confidence they need to succeed. From commercial applications to installer-led projects, NHPW offers a valuable opportunity to showcase how heat pumps are already delivering in practice, and we’re proud to play a role in that progress.”
