Heating Installer Awards winners officially open Danfoss’ new visitor experience in Denmark
The new experience gives
visitors an insight into Danfoss’ heating heritage, innovation and
manufacturing expertise, taking them behind the products and technologies that
are helping shape the future of energy-efficient heating.
Expected to welcome hundreds of
local and international visitors each year, ‘Seeing is Believing’ has been
completely revamped to provide a more interactive insight into Danfoss’
history, people, products and manufacturing processes.
At the heart of the experience
is the story of the thermostatic radiator valve (TRV), tracing its development
from one of the very first valves produced by founder Mads Clausen in 1943
through to the technology available today. Visitors can see one of only ten
original TRVs manufactured in 1943 and explore how radiator thermostat
technology has evolved over more than 80 years. The experience connects this
pioneering heritage with the challenges facing the heating industry today,
highlighting the development of technologies designed to improve energy
efficiency, reduce carbon emissions and support the transition towards more
sustainable heating.
For the Heating Installer
Awards winners, the visit also provided a rare opportunity to see first-hand
how products used in their day-to-day work are manufactured. The group was
taken inside the factory to see the TRV caps production line and distribution
process. As a special memento of their visit, the winners were also able to
create their own boxes of TRV caps personalised with their names.
Angela Leth, Vice President of
Sales and Marketing at Danfoss, who officially opened the experience along with
the awards winners, said: “Installers are at the heart of everything we do, and
the UK is one of Danfoss’ most important strategic markets, so it was
particularly fitting to have the Heating Installer Awards winners from the UK
with us as we opened Seeing is Believing.
“The experience is designed to
give installers a deeper understanding of the engineering, testing and
manufacturing standards behind our products, while demonstrating how individual
components contribute to the wider performance and efficiency of heating and
hydronic systems. We are looking forward to welcoming many more installers to
the experience throughout this year and beyond.”
The Heating Installer Awards
winners’ three-night visit to Denmark was part of Danfoss Climate Solutions’
ongoing support for the awards. As well as giving the winners the opportunity
to play a special role in the launch of the new experience, the trip gave the
installers the opportunity to meet Danfoss representatives, learn more about
the technologies they work with, and share their own experiences and
perspectives from working in today’s rapidly changing sector.
