British Gas has announced a major new partnership that will see the Passiv Smart Thermostat integrated directly into all of its Worcester Bosch heat pump installations.
The collaboration means British Gas customers can benefit from intelligent, heat pump-specific controls straight out of the box. The Passiv Smart Thermostat delivers effortless comfort through its award-winning in-home controls, allowing users to manage their heating seamlessly without the absolute need for a smartphone. It also automatically optimizes energy use in line with time-of-use tariffs and rooftop solar generation, providing homeowners with lower running costs without any ongoing subscription fees.
For installers, the partnership significantly reduces complexity on-site, making heat pump installation quicker and easier. The Passiv Programmer features a built-in, push-fit wiring centre to speed up the mechanical process, while a simple QR code scan streamlines the customer handover. Additionally, British Gas will benefit from complete visibility across its entire deployment network via the free web-based Passiv Portal.
