The health risk of poor indoor air quality: Why home ventilation should be high on the installer checklist

Theatre: Net Zero by Design
Day: Tuesday 27th June
Start time: 13:00
End time: 14:00

The negative health impact of poor indoor air quality has risen sharply in terms of media coverage in recent years. The very real risk to human life as a consequence of poor thermal comfort and inadequate ventilation has also impacted on political decision making.

In this panel session we discuss the link between fabric energy efficiency improvements, such as insulation, and the regulated requirements on installers to ensure homes are well ventilated to meet the increasingly demanding requirements of legislation. From simple interventions to deep retrofit scenarios in our housing stock, the panel will provide clear guidance on what is expected from all domestic installers under PAS2035 and Approved Document F of the Building Regulations.
