With more exhibitors and more installers than previous years, Installer2017 proved to be a record-breaking return to the Ricoh.
Having been established for two years, the challenge for Installer2017 was to be bigger and better than the previous events – and not just in terms of pure numbers. Not content to simply recreate the same trade show year-on-year, the latest edition of the exhibition featured a number of new features – some in collaboration with exhibitor partners – as a way of creating more worth and value to its visitors.
One such new additional was InstallerWORKS. Having found that a traditional seminar approach lacked the installer/exhibitor interaction that is a cornerstone of the Installer event focus, InstallerWORKS was created to bring a live demonstration area onto the show floor where visitors could be introduced to new skills – such as wet room and underfloor heating installation.
Alongside the new features, Installer2017 was also able to enhance existing aspects of the show to offer visitors far more in terms of information, product and special show offers – for example, Plumb Center’s Trading Zone offered special show deals for over 20 brands this year, while Graham Plumbers’ Merchant created a CustomerF1rst Area that highlighted to visitors the breadth of its offering – and not just in terms of products.
With astounding special offers and giveaways that saw visitors leaving with bags full of goodies, interactive stands to challenge brains and brawn alike, and the odd celebrity appearance, Installer2017 delivered a worthwhile visitor experience and cemented its position on the calendar of many installers as a must-visit show in the future.
